Stamping on Textured Paper

Tip: When stamping on textured paper, such as watercolor paper, place some craft foam underneath, then stamp.  Craft foam is inexpensive and any thickness is fine.  I used the 1/16" thick foam that comes in a large multi-color pack, but the foam can be purchased by the sheet at a hobby store.  Stamping onto watercolor paper gives you more options for coloring in the designs, especially watercolors or watercolor pencils. The featured stamps are the City Girls from several different sets: (from left to right) hands on hips girl is from City Girls Street Chic , next girl in green gown is from City Girls Formal Affair , girl in yellow is from City Girls Summer Vacation  and the long ruffled gown girl is from City Girls Formal Affair .

Time Stamped

It's the beginning of another year and again we think about time and how it seems to pass so quickly. We have several time-related rubber stamps that are beautifully detailed with a vintage feel for your journaling, card making and scrapbooking.  View some of our time stamps here (takes you to our webstore) . Our Pocket Watch Rubber Cling Stamp goes perfectly with our Roman Clock Rubber Cling Stamp , especially when you stamp in different color inks and vary your height on each. Color in the pocket watch with your favorite metal shades, I used Copics in gold tones.  Add your lightest blue along the edge of one half of the watch to create a little shadow appearance.
