New Stamps Release Showcase

Image
Exciting times here as we release 14 new designs. Some are vintage themed, some are photo stamps and there's some that are perfect for summer... Let's take a closer look at all of them. Our  Fiery Sun Rubber Stamp  is a unique version of sunshine and let's face it, you can never have too many suns in your rubber stamp collection! The first rubber stamp I ever purchased was of a sun, LOL. This stamp measures at 3 inches x 3 inches. Above, I stamped it twice, once in a yellow and again in a brown. This design stamps well twice to get that offset printing press look. The sentiment, " Life is Better at the Beach " makes a great summer stamp for cards, journals, and scrapbook pages and measures at about 3 inches x 2 inches. The layout and curved words on this design will bring joy and warm thoughts of sandy beaches and blue waves. A highly detailed design,  Wheelbarrow Bouquet Rubber Stamp  is both vintage and floral in theme. What's cool is the intricate pattern o...

Fireflies in a Mason Jar

Image
When you paint or color on yellow paper, it is easy to create a night time look.  Our Mason Jar Rubber Cling Stamp is a fun stamp to capture fire flies. Start by stamping or embossing the Mason Jar onto a yellow colored paper.  You can use yellow card stock that even has a little design to it. For those that have never embossed: Embossing is an easy method with rubber stamps that creates a 'wow' factor on paper. Our Mason Jar stamp is an excellent stamp for this. To emboss, you will need an special ink pad (like VersaMark or Ranger) that puts down a sticky surface so that the powder adheres to it. You then sprinkle  embossing powder  onto the design.  Then use a heat gun to 'melt' the powder so it becomes hardened, and thus, permanent. Use oil pastels or water color pencils to color in the jar in blue.  Use both light and dark hues. Use a watercolor pen or paint brush and some water to spread the ink/paint around. Add additional color as ...

Simple Birthday Card with Free Download

Image
A simple birthday card, AKA,"10 minute card" - always good to have around for last minute gifting!  Today we used our Girls Bicycle Rubber Stamp (from our early 2016 New Releases) and a printout from our Free Digital Download page, "Occasions 1."  Our digital download is available as both .jpg and .pdf.  The file is formatted to accommodate either 8.5" x 11" or A4 printout.  See download links at the bottom. Our Girls Bicycle Rubber Stamp measures, 3" wide x 2" tall (7,6 cm x 5 cm) and fits perfectly onto an A2 card front.  I stamped the bicycle onto this green and yellow patterned paper with VersaFine, Black Onyx ink.  The top of the card features one of the sentiments from our digital download sheet, "Happy Birthday" matted onto yellow paper.  I printed out the digital Occasions1 sheet onto five different sheets of paper to have color choices.  One of my favori...

Butterfly Jar Journal Page, Summer Project V

Image
I love to buy notebooks/journals/sketch books.  I recently purchased a sketch book to use as a 'practice' for creating journal pages.  Each page is  5.5" x 8.5" in size.  For this page, I took our Mason Jar Rubber Stamp , embossed it with a brown powder and used a light blue copic marker to color in the glass.  I then took a white gel pen over the blue.  (I'm always looking for an excuse to use the white pen!)  The butterfly is from our Butterflies Rubber Stamp Collection and is embossed with a turquoise, glitter embossing powder and colored in with glitter markers, copics, and colored pencils.  The little border butterflies (from Dragonflies and More Rubber Stamp Set ) next to the jar are also embossed with the same turquoise, glitter powder and trimmed down to just 3 from the border line containing seven. Since it's our Independence Holiday is soon, I printed some text onto vellum paper and glue stick'ed the three sayings to the page....

Butterfly Card, Summer Card Project 4

Image
One of the butterfly stamps from our Butterflies Rubber Stamp Set (SKU 5x702001) makes a perfect centerpiece to this A2 landscape card.   The embossed paper was made using folder by Lifestyle Crafts, 'Whimsy' (from Michaels).  And the paper is also from Michaels' new Recollections Cardstock Spiral pad.  Inside the card, I stamped Japanese Waves Rubber Stamp (SKU 4x600042) onto white paper to create a border for the note writing section.  Because of the embossed design, the waves match the front of the card nicely! The butterfly design, was stamped with Memento Dew Drop London Fog (grey) ink and filled in with a Copic No.2 Neutral Gray marker as the base.  For the wing colors, I used yellow glitter marker Marvy Uchida, R20 Blush Copic marker, and a black watercolor pencil to create the center shadow lines of the wings.  It's hard to narrow down the options for coloring in butterfly wings.  The possibilities are endless!

Thinking of...the Beach, Summer Project 3

Image
Our stamp, Thinking of You features a girl dressed in a Victorian bathing suit, sitting in the sand looking out into the ocean.  I embossed just the girl in (my recent!) favorite copper colored powder, cut around her and placed it onto a copper colored square mat.  (This stamp includes a text stamp, too, but I cut the rubber apart and will use the text stamp for another project.)  The Seashell Collection Rubber Stamp is stamped in black ink onto a powder blue paper.   Wavy shaped scissors were used on the top and bottom edge of the paper. Inside the card mat, I stamped one of the seashells from the collection by just masking the rubber with blue painter's tape  (I did not cut out the stamps on this set because I think they look great together).  I stamped just the large seashell that's in the bottom right corner.  I hope this project adds happy, beach thoughts to your day!
