In the Clouds Tall Card and Free Clouds Template

Creating a tall card is easy. And we have so many retro cartoon stamp designs that are perfect to create birthday, anniversary, retirement or any fun celebration cards. Better than an A2 card size, a tall card's sizing allows for a layout of embellishments, sentiments and stamped designs which look extraordinary! For this project, finished card dimensions are 3.75 inches wide x 8.5 inches tall.  Tip: A tall card fits perfectly in a #10 business envelope (4.125" x 9.5") which is the most common sized envelope that you can purchase in any office section of a store.  I've included a free printable template (and optional free .svg file) for clouds since we are using our  "Sign from Above" Rubber Stamp . Tall Card dimensions (finished size):  3.75" x 8.5" Cuts for your card:  out of 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper: ......cut at 7.5 inch (long side) and fold in half and you're done! out of 12" x 12" sheet of paper .....cut at 8.5"

New Stamps Release Showcase

Exciting times here as we release 14 new designs. Some are vintage themed, some are photo stamps and there's some that are perfect for summer... Let's take a closer look at all of them. Our  Fiery Sun Rubber Stamp  is a unique version of sunshine and let's face it, you can never have too many suns in your rubber stamp collection! The first rubber stamp I ever purchased was of a sun, LOL. This stamp measures at 3 inches x 3 inches. Above, I stamped it twice, once in a yellow and again in a brown. This design stamps well twice to get that offset printing press look. The sentiment, " Life is Better at the Beach " makes a great summer stamp for cards, journals, and scrapbook pages and measures at about 3 inches x 2 inches. The layout and curved words on this design will bring joy and warm thoughts of sandy beaches and blue waves. A highly detailed design,  Wheelbarrow Bouquet Rubber Stamp  is both vintage and floral in theme. What's cool is the intricate pattern o

Washi Tape DIY and Stamping Inks Explained

I'll show you how to make your own washi tape with rubber stamps.  I'll also explain (with examples!) the different types of stamping inks, dye vs pigment and permanent inks, along with watermark pads for embossing. And, we'll up-cycle (recycle?) those prepaid envelopes you get in the mail. I made several different types of homemade washi tape on many types of papers/tapes. Distress Oxide ink pads (which are a blend of dye and pigment inks and are water based) proved to be the best for the backgrounds on masking tape, glossy labels and card stock, the Distress Oxide inks did wonderfully. The colors were light enough to  stamp on. Our  Nature's Border Rubber Stamp Set  has a line of trees as one of the designs (above photo). Stazon in Jet Black stamped onto masking tape. The fun thing about stamping onto masking tape is that it is easily re-positionable, just like washi tape. The StazOn solvent ink works beautifully on every surface that I have ever stamped on.
