Rubber Stamping Projects

We take ordinary wooden clothespins and with a few rubber stamps, we turn them into a beautiful works of art. This project is part of the "Decorate your Life with Deep Red Stamps" Series. You have probably seen desktop or wall picture frames that feature a clip so you can place your favorite photo in them easily. In this project we will show you how to create your own frame with clip. Included in this post is a free, printable templates for 2 sizes of wooden clothespins that are the most common. You can download the template here.   Anytime you add glitter to a project the result is extraordinary, especially if you it comes out so good that you can gift share it with someone. Here we make a card using a couple of our sunflowers stamps. We also add glitter to the center of the flower to create a card that will make them go 'wow'. Materials used in this project: Sunflowers Background Rubber Stamp (stamp 2x) onto white card stock Large Sunflower Rubber Stamp Yellow card stock Orange card stock White card stock Ribbon First, take the Large Sunflower Rubber Stamp and stamp it in black ink onto white card stock. Color it in and trim it out with scissors around the design. You can also color in the white trimmed area. I used green to color around the outside of the petals. Once cut out, add a generous amount of clear glue to the center of the flower. Then sprinkle glitter onto the glue. Set it aside to dry. You can now work on the sunflowers background part. We're excited to share with you examples of some of our newest stamp releases....... The iconic Gibson Girl Rubber Stamp from the original artwork measures at approximately 2 inches x 2 inches in size. We have a new Mallard Duck Rubber Stamp that goes perfectly with our new Cattails Rubber Stamp as seen on the tag example above. Also, we have an Ocean Waves Rubber Stamp that is easy to repeat stamp a background. Using our Ocean Waves Rubber Stamp in the example tag above. This time the waves are stamped in blue ink. We have several rubber cling stamps of suns and palm trees. One of our newest designs is called Fiery Sun Rubber Cling Stamp and is featured here. We will create with a tag in pretty yellow theme while dreaming warm summer days! Step 1: Take a tag No. 8 in size and cover it in Dandelion Memento Dew Drop ink. The manila colored tag base is easily covered by using the dye ink pad directly onto the surface. Our Fiery Sun Rubber Cling Stamp total size measures 3" x 3 " but that includes the neat rays that feature dot pattern and delicate, artsy lines. The center circle of the sun measures just over 1 inch which makes it a perfect size for any project base. The sun is stamped with Palette Hybrid ink in Noir (black). Next, I stamped our Palm Tree Rubber Cling Stamp in Peanut Brittle Memento ink. Most often when you think of vintage stamp designs, they are simply stamped with no room to color. We have some victorian rubber stamps that offer the perfect amount of coloring space to make them stand out in your next project. Here, we showcase our  Reading Garden Rubber Stamp  which features a lady in a fancy dress sitting on a bench made of stone.  An umbrella and flowers are around her. The stamp measures approximately 3 inch x 3 inch in size and fits nicely onto an A2 card. The example above is colored in with Copic Markers and was stamped in  Palette Hybrid black ink  onto white card stock. Above, are the copic markers used to color in her dress and umbrella. You see the color testing area to the left.  Tip: It is always recommended to test your marker colors on the same piece of scrap paper as you will be coloring in to make sure it is the color you will use on your final piece. Kraft colored tags or cards have a french country look to them, especially when you add jute twine. In this post, we'll create a white embossed tag that has a chic look in style with the current trends. Our  Crochet Background Rubber Stamp  combined with our  Handmade with Love Rubber Stamp  makes for a great combo when creating a tag for a hand made gift. Whether its jewelry, like pictured above, or an heirloom shawl or blanket, these two stamps embossed in white on kraft colored card stock make a unique statement. Simply, emboss our  Crochet Background Rubber Stamp  with white powder onto a brown colored card stock. The stamp measures about 3 inches x 4 inches.
