Rubber Stamping Projects

  Perfume bottle design is an art form. If you think of some of the big names out there, the creativity involved in designing the bottles ​is unreal. We have created a free printable download of four bottle shapes and labels for you to decorate with rubber stamps and cutout. It's just a fun paper project that will have you thinking, 'what would my perfume line be called?' Above is one of the bottles cut out and our  ​Blooming Sakura Rubber Stamp  is stamped in pink ink, trimmed out and placed in the corner. This project is great to use your pink hued markers. Gold embossing would also look excellent on these bottles. The free download, printable 8.5 x 11 inch page also includes some circle, octagon and rectangle shaped labels. So many of our stamps will work well with this project. Dot-lined paper is a popular choice for journal pages, but it can also be stamped with a pretty design to practice hand lettering. The dots act like grid paper and are more attractive than school lined pages. We have created a printable download that is an 8.5 x 11 sheet of dotted paper perfect for making your personal journal pages or just placing onto a clipboard and practicing your drawing, doodling and handwriting skills. The dots are spaced 1/4" apart.  In the project below, I stamped our  Teacup Flowers Rubber Stamp  and placed it onto a mini clipboard. (This sized clipboard is perfect for use when lounging in your favorite chair and can be found at Walmart, Amazon or local office supply stores.) A good rubber stamp, like the one seen above,  Teacup Flowers Rubber Stamp , is fun to practice hand lettering around.   ​The color combination of black and white for a handmade card is timeless. Add an accent of red and you have a wonderfully fashionable card that works for any occasion Our ​ Apple Harvest Rubber Stamp  is fun and especially easy to color in using markers and/or watercolor pencils. Use a variety of red shades on the apples. For subtle coloring on the basket, I used watercolor pencils. The "You Are" and "So Sweet" are part of one set, called  ​You Are Rubber Stamp Set . The stamps (not pictured), "the best" and "awesome" also included in the set.

  When making a handmade 'thank you' card, it conveys more than just a message of gratitude. And when making a card, you will want the best materials. In the card below, which was created for National Thank A Teacher Day, there is an element of literature with the White Rabbit from the Alice in Wonderland series. When planning to make a card for a teacher, I envisioned using one of our apple designs rubber stamps, like Apple Harvest or Apple or Apple Blossoms. I also considered, our Library Books Stamp or Old Books Border. I instead went with our  ​International Thank You Rubber Stamp  and  ​White Rabbit Rubber Stamp . The  ​White Rabbit Rubber Stamp  was colored in just lightly with some red, gold and light blue markers. Also some grey coloring on the fur. The colors of this card are inspired from fashion in that we have red which goes so well with turquoise. The die cut flower center of red matches the layers of turquoise card stock.   What colors best represent spring?  For this handmade card, the colors are yellow, green and pink. Add a detailed stamp design and you have a fun ensemble to represent the season and celebrate spring. I stamped Floral Butterfly Rubber Cling stamp with black ink after I water colored the paper using a simple waterbrush. Creating  freeform shapes on the paper, I used up some leftover watercolor paper from a postcard notebook purchased long ago. Our Floral Butterfly Rubber Cling Stamp is a beautifully detailed design, great for a colorful background. Remember, you don't have to have a lot of different papers in your craft storage. Always have white card stock on hand and with some watercolor paper, you can create your own colorful papers to stamp on.

  ​The colors navy blue and white always go well together especially on a nautical themed card.  We have some amazing rubber stamps so you can create the perfect seaworthy projects. Above, our  Seagull Rubber Stamp  and  Pelican Rubber Stamp  stamped in a dark blue on white card stocks. Also in this post, I have a printable download of some cute "sea" sayings in a variety of fonts. On the Pelican card, I punched circles on each side of the post that he/she is standing on and wrapped twine around the post. On the Seagull card, I also stamped our  ​Compass Rubber Stamp   (we have 2 compasses to choose from) in a dark blue ink. Who doesn't like the sea? A nautical theme is timeless.
