Season for Making Cards with Gift Cards

Let's make giving gift cards to family and / or coworkers fun with handmade, stamped cards this season. In this project, we'll make A2 cards with a place to hold a gift card featuring our City Girls Holiday Cheer Rubber Stamp Set. The free, printable template gives you a cutout with slot lines to hold the gift card. Above, Gift Boxes Rubber Stamp in the corner.

Print the template onto cardstock. Cut out the gift card base and use an X acto knife and ruler along the corner lines to allow you to tuck a gift card into each slot.

Glue the gift card base on the inside of your folded A2 card, it's that easy. Gives you more time to stamp and color the card front!

City Girls Holiday Cheer Rubber Stamp Set is a three-stamp set of girls: one dressed as an elf, another dressed for shopping and the third is decorating for Christmas - all 3 stamps are perfect for the front of a gift card.

IPhone Cover Decor

Since Xyron has a fabulous way of making anything into a sticker, I decided to create décor for the back of my cell phone case. Taking beautiful, damask patterned glitter paper from DCWV, 6x6 pad, 'The Glitter Basics" I cut out my iPhone 6s cover pattern using a template I created in plain white cardstock of my case. To cut out the circle in the middle, I used an X-Acto knife. The Scooter Rubber Stamp was embossed on red paper and cut out with scissors. I smudged 'Claret' color StazOn ink around the edges. After placing the scooter through the Xyron Creative Station, I placed it onto the iPhone pattern and ran both through together. The Creative Station can take such thick items. You will see below that I ran embellishments made from shrink plastic and it had no problem with them. In this post, we alter a plain spiral pad and create a vintage notebook like no other and a place to keep everyday life's notes & ideas organized. First, we cut out all the designs. The notebook used in this project is a Mead Five Star and measures 5 inches x 7 inches. Print out an extra page and trim it to fit the cover. Place over the spirals to crease them so you can see where to snip a line to allow for the metal spirals and glue it to the existing plastic cover.
