Gift Hanger

       I have something a little different today, it's not a card.  It's a cute little gift hanger.   I love to leave little gifts for friends and family and leaving something hanging from a door knob or the knob on a desk is fun.

      I started with a cardboard tube and then covered it in an old dictionary page.  I followed that up with a little acrylic cream paint dry brushed all over and then a little distress ink over that.  I added the beautiful Deep Red French Candy Label stamp that I had colored using a pencil and some odorless mineral spirits and more distress ink.  I then cut the label out and popped it up on a die cut.  Finally a touch of lavender Stickles and it was finished.


I added lots of pretty embellishments; lace, die cuts, paper flowers, pearl stems and odd bits and pieces and added some old floral wire as a hanger.

So now that my little gift hanger is finished I just have to find the right filling and hang it up on a friends door knob.
