I love to buy notebooks/journals/sketch books. I recently purchased a sketch book to use as a 'practice' for creating journal pages. Each page is 5.5" x 8.5" in size. For this page, I took our Mason Jar Rubber Stamp, embossed it with a brown powder and used a light blue copic marker to color in the glass. I then took a white gel pen over the blue. (I'm always looking for an excuse to use the white pen!) The butterfly is from our Butterflies Rubber Stamp Collection and is embossed with a turquoise, glitter embossing powder and colored in with glitter markers, copics, and colored pencils. The little border butterflies (from Dragonflies and More Rubber Stamp Set) next to the jar are also embossed with the same turquoise, glitter powder and trimmed down to just 3 from the border line containing seven.
Since it's our Independence Holiday is soon, I printed some text onto vellum paper and glue stick'ed the three sayings to the page. Blue washi tape and another butterfly (from the collection) is stamped in turquoise ink. I look forward to creating more journal pages and hope you will also start (or continue) creating pages in one of your journal books!
