For the love of Teddy Bears

Who doesn't love a teddy bear? This A2 landscape card was created by stamping the bear with black Staz On ink onto kraft colored paper.  Derwent's Inktense pencils were used to color in this cute guy.  For the background, instead of using a paintbrush or sponge, I sprayed Ranger's Walnut ink onto the white paper.  Teddy Bear Love Rubber Stamp sku 4x505147

 
The fuchsia silk flowers are held in place by a hexagon shaped fastener with the word, 'Darling.'  Pink and white bakery twine runs along the width of the card and in the flower pin.

In additional to the "un bébé nouveau" cards (new baby), this teddy bear stamp can be used for any friend, young or old that needs a hug or smile! 

What I love about this project:  Derwent's Inktense pencils are amazing to work with. Once you add a bit of water to the paper, the vibrancy of the ink comes alive.  It's fun to color in stamped images using Copics, but the pencils allow for more shading options.  You control how much water you place onto the paper and how strong you wish the color to be.  You are also able to blend colors directly on the paper.  I will feature more projects using these pencils coming soon.

New Coloring Booklet Casual Chic

We have a new digital download available: It is the  Casual Chic - Modern Fashion Plates Coloring Booklet   featuring 12 girls dressed in cute outfits along with accessories such as eyewear, hats, purses, and some even have a dog with them.  All of the girls measure over 6 inches in height and print onto 3 pages (landscape). The outfits are fun and unique. You will always be challenged to use various colors while practicing your shading and blending techniques. I had such a blast creating the examples for this project.   Tip: If you have not already, this is a good way to get to know what markers you have. There is a color swatch area to label and try out colors before committing onto a character, which is especially helpful for skin and hair. In my case, I got to know which skin tone markers I had.
